All members are reminded to please check the wind forecast before sailing. Should you be sailing on days when the club is closed. The Management Committee is aware of two recent incidents when PDSC Members had to be rescued whilst the club was closed. One incident Water Police were involved and the other luckily club members happened to be around and were able to access the safety boats and go out and assist.

The club recommends the following safety tips

Check the wind forecast

Sail to the conditions (i.e stay in the bay if windy)

Form a group and sail with others, so your not the only boat out there.

You are sailing at your own risk!

Please also remember to close all club doors i,e men changerooms, outside storage gate or boatshed before going out sailing. Please also pack away any hoses after use and close and lock the lawn gate when leaving. Driving across lawn areas is discouraged due to the breaking of sprinklers!
