Message from the Commodore
Members, to those who attended/sailed National Championships over the Christmas period I hope you achieved your goals. At the PDSC we held the I14 World Championships (which included the Australian Titles), I would like to firstly congratulate all the competitors on the great display of sailing. Also congratulations to the new World Champions – Archie Massie & Harvey Hillary sailing Zog and the Australian Champion - David Hayter & Trent Neighbour sailing Wang Wang, it was a great effort by both sailors.

The World Championships at the PDSC was very well received by all competitors, there were many great reports back from the sailors and their families on how well the club ran the series. This was because we had fantastic support from all our Members and volunteers throughout the 2 weeks of sailing. Both on water and on shore in the club house.

Due to the length of the series and also with some classes still away in the Eastern States, it has been decided that all our Volunteers need a big rest, so this
weekends scheduled handicap start will be CANCELLEDthere will be no fleet racing or junior training at the club on the weekend of 18th January. Normal sailing will resume the following weekend on Saturday 25th January.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time over the Christmas Period to help at the I14 World Championships .The series would not have been such a success without your help. In February there will be a ‘Thank You’ BBQ being put on by the club for all those who volunteered during the I14 Worlds. The date will be finalised soon and sent out.

Everyone have a great weekend off, you all deserve a big rest and well will see you all on the 25th January.

Again many thanks for all your help throughout the i14 World Championships.

Kind regards
Clayton Erwin
